Julie brings an unusual perspective to her writing. Inspired by the information gleaned earning a Master of Health Education, a Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness, and a Master in English, Creative Writing, Fiction, her interest with the mind-body-spirit solidified. She has a fascination with the impact this relationship has on our human experience. In particular, the mind because deep within each of us resides a troubled soul— heartbroken, bewildered, and often draped in shame. We spend our lives attempting to hide this part of ourselves, but it’s there, waiting, lurking inside, and it’s ready to pounce for a moment in the light when triggered. These are the stories she tells, the ones that bring the shadows into the light. Her stories often contain weird situations, unexpected themes, and twist endings.
